Clinical Study to analyse the effectiveness of
Indulekha Bringha Oil in its new Selfie bottle.

We conducted a clinical study to evaluate the efficacy of Indulekha Bringha Oil, using the Indulekha Selfie bottle, in treating different hair & scalp ailments (Kesapaathasamana and Darunaka).

The study method and procedure:

Twenty-five patients of both sexes, from the age group of 20-45 years, who were suffering from at least one of the following hair or scalp ailments such as hair fall, rough hair and damaged hair, greying, dandruff & itching of scalp.

All the enrolled patients underwent a thorough clinical examination, and scalp skin examination which included the assessment of number of hairs lost in a one-minute combing test, presence of alopecic patches (bald patches on scalp) and hair pull test. The scalp-specific investigations also included microscopic hair examination. In all the patients, thorough laboratory investigations were done.

All the patients were advised to apply sufficient quantity of Indulekha Bringha oil to the scalp using the Selfie Bottle, daily for a period of 1 month. Before using the Indulekha Bringha Oil, they were under observation for a period of one month. After observing and collecting the datas, All patients were followed for a period of 1 month and at each follow-up visit, they were asked about the frequency of the application of Indulekha Bringha oil using the Selfie bottle on a calendar provided to them in order to check the compliance to the treatment. Clinical assessment of scalp and hair assessment was done objectively (by doctor) and also subjectively (by patient). Thorough scalp examination was done monthly and also at the end of the study.

Results

The overall result of this preliminary study suggests that even a short-term treatment of Indulekha Bringha Oil using INDULEKHA SELFIE is effective in significantly reducing hair loss and other hair and scalp ailments. There was a significant reduction in the hair symptoms (itching, irritation and dryness of the scalp) within 1 month. There was a significant improvement in the tensile strength of hair as judged by the hair pull test and combing test. There is a significant improvement in hair an scalp ailments because the usage of Indulekha Selfie has resulted the oil to flow through hollow teeth of the attaché comb to the scalp properly and gets distributed evenly all over the scalp.
